Ouwsigh...

Benson has developed an affinity for our back yard. He will go to the door and say, "Ouwsigh." (Outside) He's even learned how to OPEN the door all by himself and wander out onto the porch, so we've had to start dead-bolting it to keep him from disappearing.

His new-found-love for the backyard came about when he discovered that there was something on the other side of the fence in the yard. There is a hole in one of the boards that is just his height, so he can see through it and into the neighbors yard. He's recently made a friend through the hole. So multiple times throughout the day, he requests to go "ouwsigh" and say "heh-woah" to the "doh." It's so much fun helping him discover the world! I love this little boy so much!

And a few random ones from lately...

Scrambling the eggs for french toast...

Not happy... (he was told not to mess with Peaches' food)

Eating Salmon for the first time. (I know, what 15 month old eats Salmon? But he's so limited on what he CAN eat, that we have to get creative around here!) He really liked it!

You can't really tell from the pic, but he sleeps with one foot on top of the other just like his daddy!

Sweetness...

Happy 16th Birthday Uncle Jo!

Jonathan (Uncle Jo) turned 16 on Thursday! His sweet mama threw him a wonderful 16th birthday party. I guess you could say Benjamin and I were chaperones, but Benson was the life of the party! :)

Happy 27th Birthday Daddy!

Benjamin was born on the same day as his daddy- what a birthday gift! We celebrated Benjamin's 27th and Mr. Tom's 54th birthday on Wednesday. (He is exactly HALF of his daddy's age! He's gaining on him!) We went to Outback and enjoyed a delicious dinner and fun fellowship.
Happy Birthday to you...

Happy Birthday to you...

Happy Birthday, dear Daddy...

Happy Birthday to you!

Where'd it go?!

We love you, daddy!

My dad and Mrs. J. went in with me on a Push cart for Benjamin for his birthday. On another note: I've been looking for a used jogging stroller at consignment and garage sales. Benson thinks daddy's push cart would work just fine for a jogger! I'm not quite sure it's safe to go jogging across the dam in this thing!

Benson Loves His Aunt Ash

We've been going on Sunday nights to First Presbyterian Church in downtown Columbia to hear Sinclair Ferguson's sermon series on Romans. Benjamin grew up at First Pres. and his parents continue to go there, so we love going to visit. If you'd like to hear some incredible sermons, you can click here:
First Pres. Sunday Night Sermons

After we left church, we went and picked up Aunt Ash at Carolina and went to eat at Moes! Benson had a ball as you can see...

He loves chewing on the bottoms of water bottles....

This is Benson blowing a kiss. He doesn't really understand the whole second part where you take your hand away from your mouth and BLOW the kiss. He just gives a big smack on his hand. Cutie...

Aunt Ash has also been spending more time at our house since her teaching practicum is here in Lexington. Here's some more fun Ash pics:

Nose.. Eyes... Belly Button.. K-K

Here's a little video of Benson with one of his favorite people- K-K. We were trying to get him to say her name (He calls Kelli K-K, but he threw in a few more little words. He's talking up a storm! Or at least trying to! :) )

Another dancing video...

Go T-Wolves!

My cousin Hunter is a senior on the White Knoll football team this year. We went to watch him play last night. Hunter did good, but his team didn't do so hot. However, Benson really enjoyed getting to see his great aunts! I've also included a few shots from IHOP with Nana and Papa!

I can't believe we've gotten to the point where Benson can walk across a parking lot, holding our hand instead of us holding him. He's growing up too fast!!

Benson loves his great Aunt Sherri!

Gooooo Hunter! Benson loves his great Aunt Missy!

Worn out!

We love IHOP! I'm looking forward to the day I can let Benson taste the yummy pancakes!

What a monkey!

This one's kinda long, but Nana let Benson stir her coffee and he thought he was BIG stuff! I think his little raised-eyebrows-teeth-gritted-"I'm-so-intense" look is hilarious...

Bubbles, Bubbles, Everywhere...

The first person to leave a comment with the rest of that quote and the movie title that it's from will win a gold star! :)

We are loving the cooler weather! Benson and I had so much fun yesterday playing with the little bubble blower Aunt Christa gave him! Here's some pics...

Chasing the bubbles...

I didn't realized I had gotten this pic until I uploaded them to my computer... pretty cool!

Stayin' alive, stayin' alive.. oh oh oh oh... stayin' alive, stayin' alive...

Where'd they go?

Fun Times at Monkey Joes

We've had such a fun week! Benson and I went to Greenville to visit Kelli at her new house for a couple of days. While we were there, we scooted over to Spartanburg to see all of the cousins. We had a blast!

There is this awesome place in Spartanburg called, Monkey Joes. It is full of inflatable jump castles many of which are suited for children under three. Wednesdays are half price days (it only cost $2.75! and adults are free!), so we took all of the babies to play and had an absolute BALL! We're going back just as soon as we can!

I know people at "Jason's Deli" Had to be like.... "What were yall thinking bringing all these babies out to eat?!" I don't know what we would have done if Kelli hadn't come along. We had our hands quite full!

Hannah loved Kelli!

Monkey Joes!

This picture is so funny to me... They just wallered around in there the whole time...

This place rocks!

This is a quick little video of Benson running from one activity to the next... can you tell he was excited?!..

Here's another quick video of Benson and Kelli sliding down the humongous slide!

Can you tell we've just learned a new word?

I was attempting to capture Benson saying Hello (hew-wo), but he had something else he was trying to tell me...

go go go

When Becca and Ashley were here, they were thoroughly entertained by our little "I'm..... gonna..... get-'em get-'em get'em" game. Or as Benson refers to it.. "go-go-go!"

Chinese K-K

Kelli was blessed to be able to visit China with her husband Trey's family during the olympics. They stayed for two weeks and got to do some once-in-a-lifetime things (such as eat with the Secretary of State of China and sit in his seats at the olympics!!) And even though she had a million things going on while she was there, she didn't forget her little friend Benson. She brought him back these cute little chinese baby shoes. They are so funny on him- they actually fit him to a T and he can walk around in them really well since they are soft on the bottoms. Thanks so much, K-K! :)

Also, we're considering switching from cloth diapering to the chinese way...
Kell took this picture while she was there...

According to what she witnessed while she was there, the kids in China do not wear diapers, they wear split crotch pants. This is so they can squat on the sidewalk and tinkle. :)

Benson's first Lexington High School Football Game!

We saw Aunt B at the game!

Nana and Papa were there and, as you can see, the Muh was out again...

Hannah Rose was the flower girl in our wedding, over three years ago! She loved getting to play with Benson and Benson LOVED getting to play with her!

Family Pic...

And of course, Benson's favorite part of the night, besides the moon, was the band at halftime...

Mowing the Grass

Benson's GiGi (who we used to refer to as Grannie, but have since changed it :) ) gave him his first lawn mower the day he had his eye surgery. He's been pushing it around the house, but he got to try it outside today.

"Hmm... there's something different about Daddy's...?"
