2009 SC State Fair

We went last Wednesday night for our annual fair outing.
It was greasy and good as always!

Benson ate his corn dog like a corn cob-- from side to side... silly boy...

The delight of the night... tractors...

Cool bee hive :)

These two love each other so much!

Benson kept bending over trying to get Benjamin to look at his face when he was talking to him-- this was rather difficult since he was on his SHOULDERS!

Here's Benson, totally PUMPED about a funnel cake, even though he had no idea what a funnel cake was... he could just TELL it was good because of how excited I was about it! :)

Benson's first funnel cake!

Fun times!!

Happy 16th Birthday Becca!!!

Ron took us all to a wonderful dinner at Travinia's for Becca's Birthday!

What is UP with this SMILE?!!

Oh Benson...

And here's Becca with her favorite person in the world... ok, maybe he's second after Benson... at least 1.5!

Sisterly love...

Just take a minute to look at the faces here.. wow..

That's better :)

We love the zoo!!

These pictures are from the trip we took last week to the zoo... I love having a great zoo right down the road- It really is such a blessing and we never get tired of going! There's always something new to see every time we go!!

There's a new baby giraffe!! In January, we went to see the baby giraffe, but he wasn't out so we didn't get to see him, but we've had ANOTHER baby giraffe and this time we got to see it in all of its adorableness! This is definitely one of my favorite exhibits at the zoo!

Here you can see the baby giraffe and the one that was born in January walking behind it. I love them!

We did something we've never done at the zoo.. we went to the 3D movie! It was this neat little 15 minute movie about turtles. Benson was amazed!

And this one wasn't from the zoo-- it's just a random one of Benson playing with a grasshopper he found. I think I may have a little entomologist on my hands!!

This cowboy lost his chaps!

He was shooting "racoons" out of the kitchen window.

G'day Folks.

Sunday School

Hannah got to go to Sunday School with Benson. They were so cute!
They were BOTH excited, but only one of them was willing to let me capture it on camera :)

Don't pick the green ones!

If you've been around Benson over the past few months, you're likely to have heard the phrase, "Don't pick the green ones..." That's because one of his very most favorite things in the whole world to do right now, is to go to his grandmama and grandaddy's house to pick tomatoes. He's very good at it and occasionally will come back with a "WHOPPER" which he beams with pride over... But tomato picking isn't all fun and games... Benson will be the first to tell you... it takes practice and focus... and most importantly you MUST be careful NOT to pick the GREEN ONES!!!

If I were to give this picture a title, it would be: "Summer." Soo cute!!!

Mr. Beetle and Mr. Cricket

Hannah and Uncle T came with us to the Lexington game. The children had the time of their lives--- I'm not sure they even knew there was a football game going on. They were too busy with their "friends." Mr. Beetle and Mr. Cricket.

Hannah discovered the tiniest little beetle I've ever seen during the second quarter. She played with him all through the game--

she even held onto him until she got in her car seat-- but he got lost somewhere between the parking lot and our driveway... quite sad

And then the BIGGEST most HUGE cricket I've ever seen hopped onto Nana's arm during the game. This provided much entertainment as well!

I love the faces in this pic. This cricket was quite entertaining!
