Windy Gap Womens Weekend

windy gap collage

My sweet friend, Carrie, invited me to the Windy Gap Women's weekend in Weaverville, NC.  It was SUCH a great time!!  There were hilarious skits, awesome music by Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors {which by the way, if you're looking for some new good tunes, I'd HIGHLY recommend anything by them!!}, and really awesome messages from Paula Rhinehart {who by the way, wrote a book called "Better than my Dreams" that I would also HIGHLY recommend.}
Here's the blurp from the back:
Each of us has a dream—an image in the back of our minds of the life we think we want. When our story doesn’t quite unfold the way we hoped, how does that disappointment unveil the invitation to an actual journey with Christ that offers something deeper—something richer—something better than our dreams?
This one's worth your time and money, folks.

Windy Gap itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL.  It's a Young Life retreat center and it is SO well done.
Love it.  And can't wait to go back!! :)

They have TRIPLE bunk beds.  Carrie was a trooper and took top bunk.  :)

They had a bazillion of the most beautiful butterflies everywhere

And they were tame!!

And the blob.  They have the blob.  On Saturday, we had about six hours of free time to enjoy the campus and activities.  We didn't participate in the blob adventure, but we sure had fun watching those who DID!  :)

All of the food is homemade and presented by college students who are young life leaders all around the South.
They were so great! (And we ate SO MUCH of this yummy food!!)

They serve drinks out of mason jars.  Yall, this place is cool

Thanks, for a wonderful weekend, girls!  Can't wait to do it again! :)

And thanks to B for having a daddy weekend with the little guy so that I could have a girls weekend with these sweet chickies! :)

  1. Oh, I am so glad you enjoyed it there! I have so many fond memories of Windy Gap from High School and when I went in College to help out. Such a beautiful, peaceful and fun place!

    * I am jealous, they did not have those cool mason jars back then!
